Our Story

Southfork Java started around the kitchen table with a simple idea: build something meaningful as a family. We wanted a business that could do more than just sell a product. We wanted something that would allow us to support charities we care deeply about while also giving our high school-aged child the opportunity to learn what it truly means to build and run a business—from the ground up.

Like many good ideas, it began with a simple question:

What do we love?

The answer was easy—coffee.

What started as a personal search for better coffee quickly turned into a passion. We began learning everything we could about sourcing, roasting, and the craft behind truly exceptional coffee. The deeper we went, the more we realized that coffee is more than just a drink—it’s a story that begins on farms around the world and passes through many hands before it reaches your cup.

That journey led us to join a coffee roasters collective, where we collaborate with other passionate roasters who share our commitment to quality and transparency. Together, we source, profile, and roast our coffees in an FDA-regulated roasting facility operated by one of the collective’s members. This partnership allows us to focus on what matters most: exceptional coffee and responsible sourcing.

Every coffee we offer is specialty grade and ethically traded, selected with care and intention. We seek out coffees that reflect respect for the land, the farming process, and the people behind it. Each lot is carefully evaluated not only for its cup quality but also for the farm’s processing methods and sustainable practices.

For us, Southfork Java is about more than coffee. It’s about family, learning, community, and doing business in a way that reflects our values. Every bag we roast represents a step in that journey—supporting farmers, giving back to causes we believe in, and sharing great coffee with people who appreciate the story behind it.

We’re grateful you’re here and honored to be part of your daily cup.
